Jane Tomlinson Run For All

On the 13th May Jane Tomlinson's 'Run for All' takes place in Leeds. Lots of the children have expressed an interest in the run, so below is a link with details.  The junior run is 2.5k and is for 9-14 year olds. (There is also a mini-run for the younger children 1.5k)   Children are encouraged to raise some money in sponsorship.  I shall be there on the day running with my boys, it would be great to some some children from school too.

Police Dogs come to Bardsey!

Year 3 and 4 have had two very special visitors!

Yesterday we were really lucky and had the chance to meet two police dogs.
We met a sniffer dog - Woody the Spaniel - who was extrememly energetic and loved to be fussed and wanted to jump up at us. He obviously wanted to be off the lead...
We then met Max, a German Shepherd, who we weren't allowed to stroke (that was fine by us after we had seen the size of his teeth!). He was beautiful!

Max did some training skills for us, however when it came to 'stay' he was a little bit cheeky and wouldn't stay still...

The skipping continues...

The children are very enthusiastic following our 'Skipping Day' last week. The office are having a mad rush with skipping rope orders, resulting in more ropes being ordered into school. The children are enjoying teaching each other new skipping games - some children have even designed their own game.

Even the teachers are having a go!

Robin Wood update...

All slept well and feeling satisfied after a huge breakfast, ready for the day. Canoeing and crate challenge today and over 14 hours of activities! The weather is good too. Love Year 6 x
